Celebrations & Gratitudes |
Thank you to our district CTE department & teachers from Travis Early College High School for helping us support our long-term sub in our Arts/AV Pathway. Our district team has been coming out to plan and set up our AV lab & our colleagues at Travis have been sharing their resources!
Shoutout to our district & campus LOTE department for helping us gather resources for our LOTE vacancy & for helping us find a long-term substitute who is an experienced teacher & is planning to start Monday!
We’re incredibly grateful for our Special Education team, especially our district staff who support our students accessing services for dyslexia, for helping us analyze new, incoming data to ensure students are placed in the correct setting for those supports as quickly as possible!
Our 8th grade class has been demonstrating all the tenets of being a Bailey Bear, especially at lunch! They’ve been responsible, safe, & respectful all week! They’ll start being able to go outside next week! AND THE BIGGEST THANK YOU to our Bailey families for showing up this week for PTA, Back to School Night, our first volleyball game of the season, & volunteering to help out at our lunches! We 💙 seeing many of you at our campus supporting all of our Bailey Bears!

Bailey Middle School Campus Leadership Q&A |
Technology: This year, with the district moving away from 1:1, we’ve moved to computer carts for our classrooms; we’ve ordered more carts & our district technology team is delivering more laptops to us to ensure each core class has a dedicated cart & other classes have access to one when needed.
Textbooks: This week, textbooks & classroom library books were delivered to our classrooms. We’re grateful to our academics team for ensuring we received additional resources for our students. Enrollment: While we’re still enrolling new students, Bailey is sitting around 1100 students.
Schedule Changes: Schedule change requests open on Monday, August 31st, and close promptly at noon on Friday, September 4th. Late submissions will not be accepted. Students have two options to submit a request: Paper Forms: Available at the front office or their grade-level counselor's office. Completed physical forms must be returned to the drop box in the front office.
Online Forms: Accessible directly via the Counseling web page on the Bailey website. bit.ly/4gDnTcS |

| Have a question for our Campus Leadership Team? |
As we start the year off, we want to provide an opportunity for parents and guardians to send questions to our campus leadership team for us to review & respond to in our weekly newsletter. |
|
|
One of the questions from our FAQ this week was how parents and guardians can support Bailey. Below are some ways for folks to get involved! Join a parent organization - PTA, CAC, one of our Booster Organizations Make sure you’re signed up in Voly to be a volunteer. We will have needs throughout the year & we always appreciate parents volunteering to help during lunchtime!
Support your student’s teachers with a thank you note, goodie from their Amazon wish list, or an Austin ISD RAVE! Know someone who might want to be part of our staff? Send them our way; we’d love to talk to them more about opportunities.
Consider donating to Bailey through our PTA or Austin Ed Fund. |
