Andrews Elementary is now the neighborhood school for all students living in the Andrews and former Winn attendance zones. Our two attendance areas have officially come together as one Andrews community. All students in our newly expanded area will be part of the Andrews family, learning and growing alongside one another.

While our location may look a little different for the next year and a half, we are still Andrews. We will temporarily be located in the Winn building while our Andrews campus is rebuilt into a beautiful, modernized school. Our new building is projected to open in January 2028, and we can't wait to watch it come to life.

Information about bus stops and routes will be shared by the district on August 3. We will share more information with our families as soon as it becomes available.

Hi, Gator families!

For those of you who know me, hello again, and for all of our new families, I am looking forward to meeting you. I absolutely love our school, our kids, and the incredibly special community we are building together.

Being a principal is a big job (and definitely never a boring one), but I truly feel lucky to get to do this work every day.

I've worked in education for more than 20 years and have done a little bit of everything along the way. I started my career supporting emergent bilingual and migrant students, then became a dual language teacher and bilingual reading specialist. I've trained and mentored new teachers and served as both an assistant principal and principal in Texas and Colorado. I also earned my master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas.

At the heart of all of it, I just really love kids and schools. I believe children can do hard things, great teachers can change lives, and every child deserves to walk into school knowing they are loved, they belong, and there are adults who truly believe in them.

When I'm not at Andrews, I spend my time with my kids, husband, dogs, and bearded dragon. I love music obsessively, exploring with my family, traveling, cooking, and making memories with the people I love most.

Being a mom has shaped so much of who I am as a principal. I know how much you love your children and I never forget what a huge responsibility and privilege it is to be part of their lives. They truly bring me joy.

I hope you always feel comfortable saying hello, stopping me for a question, sharing a concern, or telling me something wonderful about your child. I love getting to know our families and believe we are at our best when we work together.

I am so excited for the year ahead and for all of the new friends joining our Andrews family. We're building one joyful, welcoming, Gatortastic community where everyone belongs, and I can't wait to see what we do together.
