The Season of Giving virtual "Wish Lists" are here! This is a place where you can help a Zilker family during the holiday season by choosing gifts or gift cards to donate to a Zilker family.

Winter Parties

Winter Parties will take place on Friday, December 20th for all grades. All parents are welcome to attend. For faster check-in, please RSVP using the mobile app.

Thinkery at Zilker!

We’re excited to begin our collaborative partnership next week with Thinkery’s  STEAM Learning Institute focused on Novel Engineering and Design Challenges! This program brings play-based learning to life as students engage with exciting engineering challenges inspired by The Guardian Test: Legend of the Lotus by Christina Soontornvat. Through creative problem-solving and hands-on projects, students will explore engineering concepts, build prototypes, and deepen their love of storytelling and innovation. It’s an exciting opportunity to spark creativity and critical thinking while having fun!

Lost and Found

Please check the Lost and Found on the front school steps for any missing jackets, water bottles, etc.

Items will be donated after the break.

2025 Science Fair

The 2025 Science Fair will take place on Thursday, January 16. Students in any grade level can participate, though participation is optional.

Exhibits will be on display during the school day on January 16 for students to visit and in the evening at STEAM Night for the community.

Nominate for the Salute Awards!

Salute is Austin ISD's annual event recognizing some of the district’s outstanding team members for their continued dedication to student excellence and achievement in our schools. 

All AISD staff, students, family, and community members are invited to nominate Austin ISD staff members in the following categories:
-Campus Clerical/Office Support Staff of the Year
-Teaching Assistant of the Year
-Custodial/Facilities Maintenance Staff of the Year
-Transportation Staff of the Year
-Food Service/Warehouse Staff of the Year
-Campus Safety and Security Staff of the Year
-Librarian of the Year
-Counselor of the Year
-Assistant Principal of the Year
-Principal of the Year

Please submit nominations using this form. Nominations close on January 15, 2025.

Last year, our own Irma Escobar De Beltran was a finalist for Custodian of the Year!

Please use the link to complete the online ordering process. There are two purchasing options. One is a standard yearbook for your child. The other OPTION is to purchase a book to donate. Purchase early as books are $27.00 per book until January 7th!

The Recognizing All Valuable Employees or RAVE Program was created to honor those who take the extra steps to provide equitable and exceptional experiences. If you had an exceptional experience interacting with an Austin ISD employee, please nominate that staff member by completing this form.
