Math and Literacy Co-Op - Volunteers Needed!

We are excited to bring back the Math Fact Fluency & Literacy Cooperative Programs to Zilker Elementary!

We are recruiting for parents or community members to work with students in grades 1-5 to provide one-on-one support to build selected students’ math-fact fluency, efficiency, and accuracy. Parent and community volunteers are essential to the success of this program! For more information and to sign up please visit our volunteer form here.

The Literacy Cooperative focuses on the reading and writing professional development interests of teachers and volunteer-led reading or writing practice sessions for students. The volunteer program is modeled after our campus's successful Math Cooperative and designed by Principal A.J. Pitts and the co-operative's teacher lead, Deborah Kent, Zilker's certified dyslexia interventionist. For more information and to sign up please visit our volunteer form here.

News from Ms. Sullivan

Dear Art Families,

I’m excited to share that I will be sending home your child’s art twice this year: once at winter break and again at the end of the school year. If you'd like to see your child's artwork sooner, please consider registering for Artsonia. I’ve included a picture to guide you through the registration process.

Artsonia not only allows you to view your child's art, but you can also purchase it to support our art program. Additionally, a special feature of Artsonia is that it creates a keepsake book of your child's artwork!

I’m doing this for my son, who is in 5th grade this year, as a graduation gift. I hope you’ll join me in celebrating your child’s creativity!

Thank you,

Traci Sullivan
