It's hard to believe we are here at our final month together as Winn Montessori. I'm glad this month will be filled with so much joy: the school play, additional field trips, Circle of Games, a family meal, and promotion ceremonies. We have some activities for students to reflect on their time at Winn and celebrate their new school. We recognize that the adults will likely be more sad than our students about this change. My goal is for students and staff to end this time together with thoughtfulness and lots of fun.

May 11-15 our kinder-fifth grade students will audition, rehearse, and perform an hour length musical! Families are invited to a FREE show on Saturday, May 15 at 1:00pm in the cafeteria. You can sign your student up to audition through the paper slip sent home or the digital permission letter here. 

We will celebrate the transition of our kindergarten students to Lower Elementary and our 5th graders to middle school during three promotion ceremonies. 

Families who would like to attend should arrive early enough to be checked in at the front office. Students are welcome and encouraged to stay for the entire school day.

Well, Winn family, this is the last PTA update.  We're so grateful to all of you for engaging and giving to this wonderful community over the years.  We have cherished the time we've had together and couldn't have built Winn up to what it is without you.  Thank you!  We hope everyone has a great summer and a smooth transition to their new school in the fall.

Staff Appreciation week starts on MONDAY.  Our amazing Staff Appreciation committee has worked so hard to plan plenty of activities to show our amazing staff how much we love them.  And thanks to your GENEROUS donations throughout the year, we're able to give them so much more this year.  We're so grateful to you and them for everything.  Here's what's in store next week:

So please have your student draw something or send a card to your favorite staff member to tell them how much you appreciate their hard work and dedication to our students.  Or consider sending a RAVE!  Those are huge for AISD employees.
