Hi Winn Montessori families! Staff Appreciation Week is THIS week and our amazing Staff Appreciation committee has been working tirelessly to put together meals and activities to show our staff how much we appreciate all they do for our students. Remember that the school itself is unable to pay for any food or gifts for staff, so 100% of anything our staff receives as a thank you comes directly from families and/or the PTA.
Can you donate to help us reach our goal of every staff member receiving a $25 gift card this year? We have 33 gift cards on hand and still need 42 to reach our goal. You can donate funds via Givebutter or feel free to drop gift cards off at the front office and they will get back to us. Staff tends to like things like HEB, Target and Walmart if you need suggestions. THANK YOU!
Here are some of the events the committee has planned for the week:
MONDAY: Bagels for breakfast and chair massages throughout the day
TUESDAY: Breakfast tacos in the morning and yoga during the staff meeting
WEDNESDAY: Biscuits and jam for breakfast and create-a-keychain activity throughout the day
THURSDAY: Donuts for breakfast and notes of appreciation from families
FRIDAY: Yogurt, granola and fruit for breakfast and gift bags from the PTA
The committee is also looking for help with cleanup every day AND to help us collect notes of appreciation at drop off on Thursday morning. Please contact Allison at staffappreciation@winnpta.org if you can help.
Circle of Games field day, coming up in late May, is a day of friendly competition and fun that our students look forward to every year. We need about $1500 to rent the equipment Coach Stephen needs to make the day a success. Please send all donations via Givebutter.
And if you'd like to volunteer to help out on that day, please sign up! We especially need help during the elementary-level events (hint, hint, you can sign up for a time even if you don't have a student in those grades).

We reprinted adult size t-shirts, so we have plenty of all sizes available if you'd like to show your Winn Montessori spirit this spring and through the summer. We also printed stickers (larger size for cars and smaller size to put on water bottles or other smaller items) as we had many requests. Order online and we will deliver to your child's backpack. Or we'll have them for sale at upcoming events like Breakfast with Bridget and our May spirit night.
