A Letter from Principal Bedford |
Hello Smallville,
It’s hard to believe we only have one more Friday left in the school year! As we head into these final days together, I want to take a moment to say how grateful I am of the many accomplishments, memories, and moments of joy that have made this year so special!
We are incredibly proud of our Cougars who participated in the Special Olympics this week. Their sportsmanship, courage, and enthusiasm were inspiring to everyone who attended. They represented Small with the highest level of Cougar Pride, and we congratulate each of them on their outstanding participation in all of the events.
We also want to celebrate the tremendous success of our Splashfest event! It was wonderful to see our Cougars and families enjoying time together and creating lasting memories. Events like these are only possible because of the dedication and support of our volunteers. A special thank you goes to our PTA and to Ms. Rich for their leadership, hard work, and countless hours spent making Splashfest such a fun and meaningful experience for our community.
As we close out the school year, I want to thank our families for your continued partnership and support. Together, we have helped our Cougars grow academically, socially, and emotionally. This has truly been a successful year filled with learning, resilience, and celebration. We are proud of all that our students have accomplished, and we are grateful to walk alongside you in their journey.
Let’s finish this last stretch strong and continue celebrating all the amazing things our Cougars have achieved!
Thank you all for your continued support, wishing everyone a relaxing weekend!
Stay Present, Bedford

Educational Travel Programs at Small
At Clint Small Middle School, we are proud to have multiple teachers who sponsor Educational Travel Programs each year. These programs are structured group trips for students, organized in partnership with professional travel providers. The providers take care of the big details—like flights, hotels, meals, guides, and safety—while our teachers lead the learning side of the experience.
What is an Educational Travel Program? An Educational Travel Program is more than just a trip. It’s an opportunity for students to step outside the classroom and experience history, culture, and language firsthand. Whether exploring another U.S. city or traveling abroad, students gain independence, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the world.
Why might families be interested?
Students experience hands-on learning tied to classroom topics.
Travel builds maturity, problem-solving, and independence.
Professional travel companies provide safety, structure, and support 24/7.
Payment plans and group arrangements make these experiences more accessible than traveling on your own.
👉 With multiple teachers sponsoring programs, families can choose from a variety of destinations and opportunities that best fit their student’s interests.
Here is a list of upcoming opportunities
