Hello Smallville,
I hope everyone had a restful and refreshing break! It’s been wonderful to see our Cougars back on campus, recharged and ready to finish the fall semester strong.
A huge thank you to our amazing PTA for organizing such a fun Family Movie Night right before the break. Thank you to all of our Cougar families who came together to enjoy a cozy evening of community and entertainment. Your support and enthusiasm make such a difference!
This week, we’ve already kicked off our Winter Wacky Dress-Up Days, and it’s been a blast seeing the creativity and Cougar pride shine through! From silly socks to festive headgear, our students and staff have truly embraced the holiday spirit.
As we approach the end of the semester, our Cougars are as focused as ever. They’re showing up with enthusiasm, eager to learn, and fully participating in the many activities happening on campus. It’s inspiring to see the energy and commitment from everyone as we wrap up the semester on a high note.

The Clint Small Choir would like to celebrate and congratulate 7th Grader Mae F., who was selected to perform with the ACDA 5th-7th Honor Choir! This year, the American Choral Directors Association received over 800 audition submissions from 5th-7th grade singers from all across the country for this choir, and 324 were chosen. Mae is one of only 162 in her voice part to earn a place in this elite ensemble. She will represent Clint Small as she performs at the National ACDA Convention in Dallas, TX on March 18th-22nd, 2025.

Access to Healthy Food During Fall Break
With many Austin ISD students living in food-insecure households, accessing healthy food may be challenging when the district is closed. Families can use the community resources below to find free meals in their area while Austin ISD offices and schools are closed for the fall break:
United Way for Greater Austin - ConnectATX (www.connectatx.org)
Texas Health and Human Services - Call 2-1-1 or (877) 541-7905 to speak to a live operator.

These two itineraries were picked with a lot of thought put into them. Students (and adults!) will get to see so many iconic places on tour, including a great number of World Heritage Sites. The hands-on experiences chosen are great as well, the landmarks we'll visit, and the sights you'll see are all world-class: From the Island of Capri "faraglione" to the Acropolis, to swimming on Heraklion beaches in Crete, to stepping on Kyoto's most amazing temple - a national treasure itself, to visiting technology museums in Tokyo and Japanese gardens in Osaka, walking in the steps of Gladiators in the Colosseum and Roman Forum, or learning about how Pompeii got buried in ashes with Mount Vesuvius in the background, or stepping into Delphi and learning about oracles in Greece, it's going to be amazing!
