Letter From Principal Bedford |
Hello Smallville!
I hope you’ve all had a wonderful week and are looking forward to a restful weekend ahead. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our entire community for supporting our campus food drive. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference for our families. A special shout out goes to our dedicated Student Council for collecting, organizing, and preparing the donations. We’re excited to begin distributing the items and seeing the impact of your kindness firsthand.
I’d also like to congratulate our incredible Theater team for winning the zone competition! Their hard work and creativity have paid off, and we’re cheering them on as they move forward to the district competition next Tuesday. We are so proud of their commitment and teamwork!
This time of year always brings me back to the spirit of gratitude. We’re all carrying things that may feel heavy, and it’s easy to get swept up in the little frustrations and interruptions of daily life. But when we pause, even for a moment, we can recognize the small, quiet gifts happening around us. Gratitude doesn’t erase the challenges, but it has a way of softening them, offering us a bit of light even on difficult days.
As we continue through the season, I encourage each of us to look for those moments of connection, joy, and stillness. Celebrate the wins, no matter how small. Appreciate the people who show up. And remember that every act of kindness, every shared smile, every step forward helps strengthen our Smallville that we are building together.
Wishing you all a weekend filled with rest, reflection, and gratitude!

Educational Travel Programs at Small
At Clint Small Middle School, we are proud to have multiple teachers who sponsor Educational Travel Programs each year. These programs are structured group trips for students, organized in partnership with professional travel providers. The providers take care of the big details—like flights, hotels, meals, guides, and safety—while our teachers lead the learning side of the experience.
What is an Educational Travel Program? An Educational Travel Program is more than just a trip. It’s an opportunity for students to step outside the classroom and experience history, culture, and language firsthand. Whether exploring another U.S. city or traveling abroad, students gain independence, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the world.
Why might families be interested?
Students experience hands-on learning tied to classroom topics.
Travel builds maturity, problem-solving, and independence.
Professional travel companies provide safety, structure, and support 24/7.
Payment plans and group arrangements make these experiences more accessible than traveling on your own.
👉 With multiple teachers sponsoring programs, families can choose from a variety of destinations and opportunities that best fit their student’s interests.
