Principal Update
Dear O. Henry Families,
What a great week we've had at O. Henry . Thank you to everyone who joined us for Back to School Night on Wednesday. It was a huge success, and we loved seeing so many families on campus connecting with teachers and staff. We are also about to break the all-time PTA membership record. If you have not yet joined, please use the links in this week's Pony Express to help us break that record.
We also kicked off our volleyball season with games against Gorzycki Middle School, and our Mustangs were on fire! It was an exciting start, and we’re so proud of our athletes. Next week, our volleyball teams take on Kealing Middle School on Thursday.
This week, we distributed Chromebooks through social studies classes, and everything went smoothly. Students also enjoyed lunch outside for the first time this year- it was a joy to see everyone soaking up some sunshine and that much-needed Vitamin D.
Looking ahead, we invite you to join us for Principal Coffee on Friday, September 5, from 8:30-9:15 AM. It’s a great opportunity to connect, hear updates, and ask questions. I hope to see you there. Finally, make sure to mark your calendars for the O. Henry Round Up, our fall carnival, on Friday, September 26.
Be sure to check out the rest of this week’s Pony Express for important information, including details about upcoming MAP testing. Please help your student come prepared by bringing their charged Chromebook on testing days.
