Kickstart with Mrs. King

Happy April, Cougars!

I hope all of our staff and families had Spring Break’s filled with joy and rest. My heart has been full as I have seen our community celebrate PRIDE week, cheer on our spring sports and fine arts programs, as well as how we continuously come together to support each other during challenging times.

As we move through the rest of the semester, we enter testing season. Please see all the testing dates below to ensure your student is rested and ready with their Chromebook and charger. Attendance is important during these days to complete required testing and meet graduation requirements.

It’s Senior Season!

Prom is April 19 from 7-10 at the Winfield Inn, and Class of 2025 Graduation is May 30 at 3PM at Burger Center. Click the link HERE to find more details shared with seniors at a meeting last week regarding these exciting and important events.

General Registration for the 25-26 school year is NOW OPEN!

Registration through Enroll Austin is a yearly requirement. ALL returning families, please complete registration for next year in the Enroll Austin platform to save your seat at Crockett, and ensure we have accurate records and course selections for your child.

April 7-11 is Assistant Principal and Librarian Appreciation Week!

Thank you Ms. Black, Dr. Gonzales, Ms. Julian, Ms. Kender, and Mr. Lipton, and Mr. Ortmann for all you have done to support students and families and build capacity in the staff at Crockett. Campus administrators wear many hats, and their contributions are critical to the day-to-day operations of the school that make positive learning experiences for our students. I could not do my job as Principal without each of them.

Thank you to our Librarian, Ms. Thomas, who is new to Crockett this year! In addition to maintaining the library, teaching lessons, and providing a positive lunch space, she also ensures that students have working Chromebooks, which are a vital tool for their learning. Our library has an incredibly welcoming and positive vibe thanks to her creativity and leadership.

As a reminder, we will have a student holiday on Friday, April 18th for staff development.

There are less than 9 weeks left until summer! Create VICTORIOUS memories! Check out the rest of the chatter to see all the great things happening at Crockett ECHS!

Happy Spring,

Shana King

We are thrilled to announce that Crockett's third and largest Dual Language Cohort will be presenting their senior portfolios on Saturday, April 5th, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at AISD Headquarters. This is a monumental milestone for our students and our campus! These presentations mark the final requirement for our students to complete their Dual Language academic experience and earn the prestigious Seal of Biliteracy – a goal they’ve been working towards since elementary school.

We’re also looking for bilingual volunteers to help with basic operations on the day of the event. If you're available and interested, please sign up using the link provided.
