Principal's message

Bailey Families,

One way Bailey fosters a sense of community is through Fun Friday Clubs. During these events, teachers lead a variety of activities, and students choose to participate based on their personal interests. This allows students to connect with peers who share similar interests and build relationships with staff members they may not typically interact with. Some of these clubs include: Chrome book Games, Volleyball, Card Games, Basketball, Art/Japanese Modern Culture, Movies, Peace & Quiet, Drawing, Watercolor, Guided Meditation, Disney Movies, Football, Student Book Club, Board Games, 8th grade girl empowerment, brain break-read/draw, Reading, 7th grade girl empowerment, Fun coloring, Computer games, card games, Flash Back Friday- 2000's movies, Nature Appreciation, Juggling Club, Mandala Design / Canva Crafts, Coding/Robotics, Bear-itones choir, Asian Pop Music.

During the 89th Texas Legislative Session, Senate Bill 12 (SB 12) was passed, which requires school districts to obtain written parental consent before providing certain services or allowing student participation in specific school-sponsored activities.

Beginning September 1, 2025, our district must have your consent in the following areas:

  1. Mental Health-Related Services
The district must notify parents of staff services related to school counseling and give parents the opportunity to opt out before those services are provided to their child.
[Mental Health Services Consent Form: English  Spanish]

  2. Physical Health-Related Services
Certain school-based health services, such as non-emergency medical screenings or treatments, now require your written permission.
    [Physical Health Services Consent Form]

  3. Participation in school-sponsored Student Clubs
If your child wishes to participate in school or district-sponsored clubs or organizations, parental approval is required. (You may have already received and completed this form if it was previously sent by your school.)
    [Student Club Participation Consent Form]

**A separate form must be completed for each child under the parent’s or guardian’s care in the household. Please review and complete each applicable consent form by September 1st. Without signed consent, your child will not be able to receive these services or participate in any clubs.

For more information about SB 12, you can visit the Texas Legislature’s website: https://capitol.texas.gov.

Thank you for your prompt attention and for partnering with us to meet these new state requirements
