Principal's message

Bailey Families,

As we head into the Thanksgiving season, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for our incredible Bailey community and the many people who make our school such a special place. One group we are especially thankful for is our dedicated Bailey PTA.

Their support was on full display during our recent Bailey Bonfire, and we are grateful for the time, energy, and heart they pour into making events like this possible. This year, the PTA generously contributed over $100 to every department that hosted a booth at the Bonfire. These funds will go directly back into classrooms and programs to support teaching, learning, and the overall student experience. Whether through new instructional materials, enhanced student activities, or updated resources, these contributions will have a meaningful and immediate impact on student outcomes.

We are thankful for a PTA that consistently steps up for our school, our staff, and most importantly our students. Their partnership strengthens our community and helps us provide the best possible learning environment for every child.

Thank you for your continued support, and please join me in thanking the fantastic work of our Bailey PTA.

Sincerely,

Brad Lancaster

Principal, Bailey Middle School

From our Counselors:

During the week of December 15th, our counseling department will be presenting a classroom lesson on suicide prevention. This lesson is designed to help students recognize warning signs, understand how to seek help, and know how to support themselves or their peers. Our goal is to equip every student with age-appropriate tools that promote emotional safety and well-being. We understand that these topics can be sensitive, and we want to partner with you in ensuring your child feels supported. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about the content or purpose of the lesson.

If you feel your student may need emotional support following this lesson, or if you would like to opt your student out, please email our counseling secretary at rebecca.carrabine@austinisd.org by December 12th.
